Are You Climbing the Right Mountain?
Are you someone who has a lot of drive and passion for getting to the top of the mountain you are climbing? We rarely speak about the enormous population of people who get to the top of the mountain only to realize they gave everything they had only to summit the wrong peak.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is living in a state of constant "doing." If you are constantly doing, then your focus is all about climbing, making good time, getting to the next plateau, and, above all else, planting your flag before someone else does. And yet, I can't tell you how many people have taken this path only to look around and realize their flag was meant for a completely different peak.
I know this because I had the same experience in my time in the corporate world. I couldn't rest, I couldn't stop, I had to keep climbing up and up and up, until one day I found myself in a leather chair in a fancy boardroom responsible for billions of dollars in spending, and I was miserable.
What I hadn't understood at the time was that I wasn't "being" who I really was. I wasn't "being" aware of my real values. I wasn't "being" connected to my inner truth.
Many people think that you can't really be yourself and have success, abundance, and fulfillment. The truth is, of course, you can. Learning how to truly be yourself in the corporate world truly is a superpower.
It gives you the clarity, focus, and inner sense of self to know what you really need to do and ensure that you are climbing the right mountain.
It took a lot for me to walk out of that boardroom and start a completely new upward ascent. Since that time, I have devoted my life to being a guide for others who either want to leave the corporate world to do their own thing or stay in the corporate world and do it the way that gets them to the destination they really want without losing themselves along the way.
Pretty soon, you'll be hearing about my new book, "Climbing the Right Mountain: Navigating the Journey to An Inspired Life." In the meantime, if there's a little voice in your head saying, "Yeah, I'm that person," then reach out to me, and let's talk.
You deserve to feel on top of the world in a way that suits your soul. Stay inspired.
