We Contain Multitudes

Do you know those times when you see no clear path from where you are to where you want to be? Then someone comes along, points something out, and then all of a sudden, you realize the path forward was always right there; you just didn’t see it?

There is a path for pretty much every situation. Distinguishing that hidden path forward is a passion of mine. I have accumulated over 15 certifications in areas ranging from emotional intelligence to adaptability to communication styles to creative strengths and reactive tendencies.

I love seeing situations from a multitude of perspectives because not only does it deepen my understanding of myself, but it gives me the creative tools to paint a picture for my clients that illuminates their best path forward.

But when we get stuck and can only see our situation from one angle, we cut ourselves off from seeing what’s really possible. If you want to thrive in the world, then it’s essential to access different perspectives.

That’s why it’s great to read books that have nothing to do with your work. Go to museums. Have conversations with people in entirely different industries. Experience different cultures but most of all, learn to understand the many different parts of yourself.

Walt Whitman famously said, “I contradict myself. I am large. I contain multitudes.” Yep, that sounds about right. Welcome to being human.

That’s why we need each other to see our blind spots, and if you need some help, that’s what I’m here for. Life is a wild ride, but when we have a multi-dimensional roadmap to navigate the world, we can truly thrive.
